How to Avoid Spreading Diarrhoea
Absolutely no one wants to get diarrhoea, yet they may as a result of the lack of proper hygiene of another person. Diarrhoea can be spread from person to person and the infections which cause diarrhea are highly contagious. Special care must always be taken to avoid spreading these infections. Anyone who is preparing food for another person, at home or in a restaurant, can spread diarrhea if they are not washing their hands properly using the toilet.
Proper had washing is not something everyone is familiar with unfortunately. Hand washing should take at least 30 seconds, with hot soapy water. Always hold your hand downward to avoid contaminated water from running up your arms. Dry with a paper towel, and use that same towel to shut ff the water and turn the lavatory door knob.
Day care centers have a special challenge when it comes to preventing the spread of diarrhoea. Younger children don’t typically understand why hand washing is important, plus they have a tendency to put their fingers in their mouths. All they have to do is touch a contaminated toy or surface like a toilet seat, and then stick their fingers in their mouth, and they can get diarrhoea. It’s not easy to prevent the spread of diarrhoea when dealing with groups of children, but it is essential as diarrhoea is more dangerous for children to get than for adults.
